Device Fax Header Information

You can view the device Fax Header and other fax-related information in the Device List Grid. Additionally, you can run a report template to generate report to check devices for Fax Header compliance.

To display Fax Header information in Device List Grid, add the following attributes (columns) to the grid:

  • First Name (Fax Header) – The device Fax Header.
  • Own Fax Number – The Fax number of the device.
  • Device Time Zone – Time Zone of the device.
  • Daylight Savings Time – If daylight savings time is active, value is On, else it will be Off.

The Fax Header information cannot be modified in Streamline NX, but you can change the values in Web Image Monitor (WIM). Details:

  • To update the value of “First Name (Fax Header)” and “Own Fax Number”, login to device WIM as admin and set corresponding settings in Configuration ⟶ Fax ⟶ Initial Settings ⟶ Fax Information.
  • To update Device Time Zone and Daylight Savings Time, login to WIM as admin and go to Configuration ⟶ Device Settings ⟶ Date/Time. They are the “Time Zone” and “Daylight Saving Time Settings” fields, respectively.

The updated values are not automatically displayed in SLNX. To reflect the changes in Device List Grid, run Other Settings polling via Request Polling function or use other polling options available.

  • For devices managed by on-site DS, you can Run Immediately a polling task that includes Other Settings polling or wait for polling task schedule.
  • For DM Agent managed devices, you need to wait for the scheduled Time of Day specified in Discovery & Polling ⟶ SLNX DM Agent⟶ Polling.

Fax Header information will be updated in Device List Grid after polling, if not, click refresh button and wait for few seconds.

For details about general SLNX polling, refer to Check Device Status via Polling.
